Banned from driving for just over 3 years and a £3k fine for hitting someone with a potentially lethal weapon whilst drunk.

Driving offences have been basically legalised in this country.

Hitting someone whilst drunk driving should carry a lifetime ban, repossession of the vehicle, and time.
You can do everything asked for when cycling and still run the risk of being hit by some irresponsible drink driver.
Drink driving should be a decade long ban. If someone needs their licence then they shouldn't drink and drive. It's not hard.
And that twat is still the mayor.

Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember the transgender lives lost to violence.

The Green Party stands shoulder to shoulder with transgender people in the face of increasing transphobic rhetoric in our society and politics.

Whenever Labour say that they 'don't want' to cut services or they have 'no choice' this should be played back to them

"Yes you do - you voted for this. Own it"
'Don't tell me you don't want to be out on strike - because that is exactly where you are. Own it.'

As resident doctors walk out again, Wes Streeting calls out the 'reprehensible and cartel-like behaviour' of their union.

Just in case Your Party wasn't irredemable enough, they're now pumping out AI slop
Okay, I can't let this one go. I live in Ireland, not the UK, but the use of this image by a supposedly socialist party is so stupid and offensive, I'm going to get stuck in.

Let me explain to you why any experienced illustrator/designer could have stopped you making so many miserable mistakes. 1/

I'm no Labour supporter, but this is entirely a good thing
David Cameron’s failed Police & Crime Commissioner system is being scrapped

12 years of wasted money, low turnout & zero accountability, a political gimmick that didn’t make our streets safer

Labour’s putting that £100 million back where it belongs: into frontline policing & communities

This is a sensible response to what was a unbelievably rare,, although horrific attack.
Trains and the railways in general are probably one of the safest places to be actually.
Heidi Alexander, the transport secretary, rules out metal detecting arches at stations, pointing out that with the number of stations and entrances to each it's basically impossible. She says that overall, UK trains are a pretty safe place to be.
