"I was never on Epstein's plane."
~Donald J Trump, January 2024

That's odd, because according to the flight logs, he was on Jeffrey's plane SEVEN TIMES. And now some of the newly released Epstein photos are showing Trump on that plane.

What to believe, what to believe?

I'm an American who lives abroad. The best way to see the US is from the outside, especially when one can rationally, logically and intelligently discuss the issues with other such observers.

People love reminding me that I'm not allowed to post about American politics cause I'm not American.

Even ignoring the problems with that concept in general, my wife is American, their family all lives in America and one of my brothers lives in America. I'm allowed to care about their hell hole.

Donald Trump is on live TV addressing the shootings at Brown University and in Australia. He quickly shifted to bragging about all of the tariff based money pouring into the US “more than four times as much as ever before.“ The network cut away from it.

Rand Paul: "The president also said, 'Be careful Colombia, you could be next.' I mean, if we're gonna go and topple regime after regime in South America, there's no amount of money that could be printed to pay for that and I don't think lives should be lost without a vote by Congress."

My editing final exam was a simulation of covering a campus shooting for campus media while on lockdown.

I pointed out you should not share locations where people are hiding while a shooter is at large.

Watching this Brown coverage. How do professional media not know this?

This is blackmail.

The U.S. is now at a point where the far right no longer feels it needs to cushion its blackmail demands inside softer language.

This ad from the far-right Heritage Foundation repeats threats made directly by Trump, Vance, and others: "Do exactly as Trump wants, or he will cut off all funding for your state."

Hopefully these types of threats, which underline that Trump is a dangerous dictator wanna-be, will backfire bigly.

"Where did that go?"
9/11 was much more effective in terms of shifting American values away from liberty and openness than is usually acknowledged. But I think that's the answer here.

I remember a time when we railed against countries who demanded papers be on you at all times. This nation was proud to be free to move about w/o documents. Where did that go? Where’s the outrage?

Detaining people simply because they don't have an ID with them is also a clear and obvious suspension of habeas.

The Real ID detail is the "second strike" but for their set domestic policy, crystalizing their criminal lawlessness for anyone still in doubt.

The reason folks are focusing on DHS's refusal to honor Real IDs is that it means that the Trump regime is asserting the right to detain anyone in America, resident or visitor, without probable cause. It's an erasure of habeas corpus for all Americans.

Add to this that HSI just filed a declaration in our case challenging these policies saying they can’t trust REAL IDs as proof of status.

So showing your papers isn’t even enough to end the stop.

A reminder that most Americans who are life-long citizens have nothing OTHER than a Real ID to prove their citizenship. This is CBP’s chief enforcer saying that ID doesn’t count.
Bovino, the man overseeing mass deportations, publicly declared that we must all have our papers on us, at all times, or we could be stopped, harassed, kidnapped, and detained, as they did with the man in this case, who is a US citizen.

Looks like Red states like Iowa are quickly expanding Trump & Musk’s surveillance of civilians.

They’re tracking us by license plates: Where we go, how long we stay, who we are.

This is more than the thin edge of the wedge. This is a fascism on steroids.
