Crypto is pegged to the dollar via a financial asset called a "stablecoin." The intent is to help make Crypto respectable by preventing wild fluctuations in the price.

It also means that if the asset it's tied to starts getting shaky Crypto shakes even worse.

It's been gutting as a white guy to see that every problem in America goes back to our many untreated historical wounds. I still don't quite understand how white America was convinced to sleep through all the awfulness.
