Mark Carney and Danielle Smith’s MOU is an abuse of power and a spit in the face to British Columbians. They will never ram a pipeline through BC without the consent of Coastal First Nations and Northern Communities, and we’ll make fucking sure of it. #bcpoli

I am going to cross my fingers and believe this interpretation. Feels better!
Once again, folks: any deal between Alberta and Ottawa that requires a) BC's approval, and b) significant support from coastal First Nations is a deal for a pipeline that will never happen.

If Carney can get Smith to agree to ratchet up industrial carbon pricing in exchange? That feels like a win.

I'm quickly losing track of all the compromises of his values that Mark Carney is willing to make to sign deals. I'm really getting the sense that he does not care about losing all the NDP and centrist votes from the last election and that he doesn't really care about winning a second term.

This man is a hero. Many of us know or knew people who survived WWII thanks to others who risked their own safety to hide them — impossible not to think of this today
My first thought was “wow I hope this guy didn’t give out his name because he could absolutely be charged” and yup, he is correct to stay anonymous.

This man’s account is shocking. His neighbors’ situation is shocking. The entire Chicago raid is shocking.

This is a very good thing.
Canada’s new government is starting Automatic Federal Benefits. We’re going to pre-file taxes for up to 5.5 million low-income Canadians, so they get the benefits they are entitled to — money that would otherwise be left unclaimed.
