I've been hard at work writing the final mainline book and two spin-off books that will complete the Beachouse Studios saga, so I thought that I would take a moment to answer some frequently asked questions I get about those weird gay crime thrillers that I write (which you can also find on Kobo, B&N, and can be requested through your local library in addition to Amazon.)
1) "So are they, like, porn books?"
This is probably the #1 response I get to the pitch. There is definitely sex *in* them, but no, they're more about the logistics of studio management and the crime chaos than characters getting down and dirty. There are content advisories at the beginning of each book that lay out what's in them. I hope they're enjoyable even if you're not super interested in reading about gay men getting busy (and if you are, it does happen!)
2) "Is it anything like Heated Rivalry?"
...I mean, there are gay people in it. They bang sometimes. There are also people who hate each other. That's about where the similarities end. I *wish* I was writing something as joyous and fun as Heated Rivalry. I love that show.
3) "When is a print/audiobook version coming?"
This is the #2 question I get. The short answer is eventually! The long answer is that the print books are on my to-do list as soon as the entire series is complete in e-book form. I'm a perfectionist so that's going to take a long time. Expect them probably in 2027. Audiobooks are a little harder, because those are more expensive to produce. I'm also kicking around the idea of doing a podcast adaptation.
4) "If anything happens to Tim, I will [insert threats, veiled or otherwise here]."

Finished the rough drafts for four of the five anthology short stories this weekend and outlined half of the fifth. Also made progress on the spinoff. Should be lighter from here on out! I love this little world around the studio, but I'd really like to leave the fictional west coast for a while.
