I disagree. We need a multi party system - so long as the electoral system fairly represents the votes. FPTP doesn't, and leads to two party rule (much like the US).
Especially compounded by the fact that the two major parties are both right-wing to various degrees. :/

It would be nice if there was a truly progressive party in the US too (that was electorally viable)... but then they use FPTP...
(much like Canada, although I'm hoping the NDP can make a comeback if they have good messaging to counter the neoliberalism of the two major parties)

My doomer-worry about AI is not that the LLMs become omnipotent and take over the world but that the wealthy and powerful use it as a means to consolidate power and marginalize or lay off skilled workers and also everything about our technological and political and social life gets worse
