Did you see this loooorge bear contently floating?
Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.

Best Valentine's Day gift ever. Adopted Sanchi (san-chew) on 2/14. Lovely little tripod. We went to the local shelter (Animal Care League in Oak Park is great) looking for a senior. But this girl had different plans.

This 384-metre route runs under the Montpelliers iconic square and is only for bikes. With this solution, cyclists can cross the center without conflicts or interaction with traffic. This increases safety and efficiency for cycle traffic.

According to American Immigration Lawyers Association, it costs $165 per day to detain someone. There are 70,000 people in detention right now.

That's $11,550,000 per day.

Fascism is expensive.

Anyhow, how's your health insurance prices?

Minneapolis residents are trying a new tactic to slow and deter federal agents from entering city neighborhoods. Called filter blockades, they’re pop-up block parties in the middle of city streets, and they’ve already earned the ire of Trump border czar Tom Homan (1) www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

The group bike ride for Alex Pretti is about to depart in Minneapolis, stopping at his memorial, then Renee Good’s, and finishing at the VFW. If you can join, hop on anywhere. It’s a warm 17° & sunny!

I’ve never seen this many cyclists for a group ride. ⚡️✊🏽⚡️🚲⚡️✊🏽⚡️ #RIPPretti

Timely! 🙌🏻 Lizzy & The Triggermen sing Irving Berlin's anti-Hitler protest song 1941.

🎵 When they lay him 12 ft deep
I'll be there to laugh not weep

Satan thought up a plan
Dressed as a man & since he began
the world is Hell for you & me

What a Heaven it will be
When that man is dead & gone 🎵 💯

Send this widely.

Tonight will get it outlined. Tomorrow night we’ll light it up and keep it going all week.“

I was one of Alex's nursing faculty at MCTC. This is simply devastating. He was a good student and I knew he'd be a good nurse. Im so sorry for you and his VA family. May his memory be a blessing and an example of what a nurse is.

What's really exciting is that actions beget activists who will be engaged in their local communities long after the ICE occupation is over. There's no better encouragement than physically seeing masses of other people who agree with you!

I'm on the Green Line towards downtown Minneapolis ICE OUT protest.

The train filled immediately. Even 20 stops away from our destination we reached capacity.

People are cheering at every stop when they see people waiting to board because we are all starting to realize how big this is.
