Basically all US policy is at this point about indulging Trump’s irrational obsessions, petty grudges, and corrupt grifts, and then taking secondary and tertiary measures to mask the consequences of those policies.

Schools in South Carolina recently sent home unvaccinated kids, to stem a growing measles outbreak. Turns out 5 of them were infected and, if they'd been at school, could've unwittingly infected their classmates for days.
