Maybe it's just me, but I don't want these "kids" reputations and political careers ruined forever. I want them held accountable for what they did and said while they were supposed to be representing the lives, liberty, and property of the very people they were talking shit about.
I feel like something similar with people being canceled, and having their lives are ruined due to something posted online just occur recently…🤔

"Cis" and "cisgender" are not slurs. The lie that they are has been propagated and weaponized by the people trying to oppress the truly marginalized.
Parroting their talking points isn't a good look, and sure as hell doesn't earn one the benefit of the doubt.

Secure your own oxygen mask before attempting to help your neighbor. Then, when you're ready to help other people-- look for other people trying to help, and attach yourself to them.

I think it's also worth remembering for times ahead that resistance and assistance come in a lot of different forms, not all of them overt and public. In my own life, I send money for things I, for whatever reason, don't talk about publicly, because I've determined that's the best way to be useful.

This is a concept that three generations of Americans trained to reveal everything about themselves for algorithmic fame may find hard to internalize (I include my own blogosphere-vintage ass here).
