I think the thing that is making burn out extra difficult to deal with these last few years is just how dehumanized art has become. It was already bad with the pressures of satiating social media, add engagement farming accounts that repost art uncredited and GenAI on top...🫠 ofc we're not ok

Honestly? A huge fuck you to all the ChatGPT-assisted assholes in my inbox trying to pretend they've read my books so that they can sell me something. There's a special place in hell for the lot of you. And I hope you know that pretty much every creator ever hates your fucking guts. Cool, right?

Just did a prelim pass on my taxes and it looks like I'll owe about 500 bucks more than I had put away for it so if anyone is looking to commission me rn that'd be pretty rad

(Not urgent, there are more important places to spend your money, I can move some budget around)

I'm raising $ for Maine Solidarity Fund, to help our community members affected by ICE. Grab some stickers! ❌🧊

On Threads/IG/etc, people are posting anti-ICE messages prefaced like “this is an art account, but” while followers unfollow or complain about them “getting political.”

I love that Bluesky doesn’t make me feel pressured to explain my humanity.

A great, encouraging thread on the situation in Minneapolis
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

Books don't tell readers who they personally are or who they are supposed to be. They do show readers a variety of characters. Implicit in that is this: "Here are some ways of being." Kids books aren't altering your kid to be someone new. They are simply showing them parts of humanity.

We love trash, but not this type!

At no point will we ever use gen AI in the making of our games. Get in the bin with that rubbish!

I still want to raise funds for Palestine Children's Relief Fund, so I've reduced the prices on these pieces because something is better than nothing!
100% of proceeds from these pieces goes straight to PCRF. ✨💖

the moment when a painting or drawing i'm making goes from "this is dogshit and i'm a fraud" to "actually we're back" can be so transcendently beautiful, it's a shame that it's one of the many things people who use AI are denying themselves

I would share my Artist Income Breakdown of 2025 but I only made $0.12 this entire year 🥲
First half-year as an artist outside of art school! I wanted to share some numbers in hopes I will help future artists find their way.
