English degree, 3/4 of a bio degree, I've worked in tech in a design/code capacity, and been a baker, and sold wine, and now I'm a spreadsheet jockey. And of course the occasional paid acting gig. The more you learn the more you can apply what you've learned to whatever you're tasked with.
I should also note that I am someone who has humanities degrees and who *also* has ended up really enjoying doing a lot of STEM-Type-Work professionally: I’m a big fan of both.
And I refuse to play along with the idea that one is superior to the other.

Hey it's a shame we don't have a National Guard that could step in to help during a relatively rare weather event that it doesn't make sense for the city to budget for.

This thread reminds me of when I left Princeton, NJ, for Charlotte, NC, in ninth grade. My first day of school was the first time I ever heard someone say "n***" outside of, like, watching Roots. They just assumed I shared their views. The "jokes" people told in high school... *shudder*

This pisses me off. It's really quite hard to get by without an array of personal electronic devices in the modern world, and for years I've bought Apple products because, well, they're not AS god-awful as Google about privacy. And those are the only real choices.
