An underappreciated point which I think got forgotten from older discourse is that one of the primary reasons ice needs to be shut down and abolished is that they are indistinguishable from random vigilantes.

As someone who spent the last 15 years working with aging brains & dementia, I can't stop thinking about this. It is gerontocracy: leaders who are substantially older than most of the adult population. When did we accept this? The new generations can't show up because the old generations never left.

It might sound silly, but I mean it: The easiest and most potent way for Europe to hurt Trump this year is to once again use its cultural soft power and to threaten a boycott of the World Cup. There isn't any long term benefit -- AI is generally MORE expensive than human employees; the real cost is still being eaten by the developers of AI until they think they have the market cornered.
Once businesses have to pay the *real* cost, they'll be desperate to get their human employees back.
