The most embarrassing part of being stationed in Italy while I was in the Army was being aware that I was surrounded by amazing, incredible food, but sometimes just having a craving for something stupid like Taco Bell.

So here’s a good war story. Iraq, late 2007. Our BN CSM is going on mid-tour leave the next day. It’s SOP for those departing to drop their duffel bag in the TOC the night before, then grab gear for the convoy to BIAP early the next morning 1/3
