It feels like most people have internalized the misconception that American institutions were gradually and linearly built up from 1776 to 2024 instead of the reality where most everything we know was created in a few short bursts of activity still in living memory.

I think what's impressive about TRON is that, visually, it's still so much more interesting than any of it's sequels. It's crazy that they tried update this digital world by making it as 'realistically rendered' as possible. It's a complete misunderstanding of the original's charm.

This is Jim, about 1/3 of the way through his sneezes, which are always explosive and, like him, large.
