Someone on threads expressed bafflement that horror becomes popular during trying political times but it's pretty simple as far as i'm concerned: engaging in horror you control by walking away or fast forwarding or turning it off is a way of controlling fear versus a world that blasts you with it.

A lot of folks are criticizing the No Kings marches as not doing anything immediate, but for my money, having a single day when the left stops eating its own, locks arms, and is reminded that we're all on the same side and are in this together, is worth its weight in gold.
