Reading more about the Epstein files, I subconsciously found myself humming the denouement from a Dexy's Midnight Runners song: "the only way to change things is to shoot men who arrange things ..."

Pop music – there really is a quote for everything, isn't there?

Pretty remarkable that it seems Reform have so far been able to get away with *complete silence* over their *campaign manager* in Gorton & Denton expressing rank antisemitic views & downplaying the holocaust.

Why aren’t the press camping on Farage’s doorstep, raising it in every public appearance?

Has anyone asked Goodwin or Farage about this yet?

Astonishing it wasn't raised at Farage's press conference..

Adam Mitula, who is canvassing for the party in Gorton and Denton, also tweeted that the six million who died in the Holocaust only included ‘some Jews’

The Epstein Files are so vast and detailed that they feel like the ruins of Pompeii--a snapshot of of Billionaire Town, preserved in volcanic ash--their food, their cruelties large and small, their graffiti with dumb dick jokes, the tools of various trades, art, family pets, so many brothels...

It was clear by 2015 that the Tories appalling economics was creating too much public dissent to be manageable, but unfortunately the alternative was a bunch of people who might, for eg, ask to see MI5's files on the activities of Prince Andrew and Peter Mandelson.

www.transformernews.ai/p/the-left-i... i wouldn't call this "directionally correct" as much as i'd call it uninterested in confronting the left critiques of the AI industry that the right has no objection to: the amorality of its leaders, its model of theft, and its environmental damage
The left is missing out on AI
As a movement, it has largely refused to engage seriously with AI, ceding debate about a threat and opportunity to the right

Released on 17th February 1986, The Colour Of Spring by #TalkTalk This was the first TT album I purchased, it’s the perfect mid-point, pointing the way to what they would to become. Spirit Of Eden and Laughing Stock are both masterpieces but I always return here more. A very special album.

In the New Statesman this morning, I tackle an odd subgenre of Epstein coverage that's become more and more prevalent: breathless warnings that we're on a slippery slope to mob rule when we ask awkward questions of the world's most powerful people.

It certainly is something to dwell on, how for over four years, the press were lauding Keir Starmer as the political genius who carried out the ruthless measures to restore Labour to 'electabiliy', and how now that is a bad thing, despite nothing in his behaviour having changed whatsoever. 🤷‍♂️

Horseshoe theorising is not only cynical, it is also incredibly dangerous as all it does is legitimise the far right, while demonising any alternative left of centre

Sadly, it's the only trick the failed hegemony has in its bag and if that leads to the far right in power, it doesn't matter to them

This is an important piece. Epstein was a consummate social climber and courted academics as a way of building social clout. Brockman and “the edge” illuminate just how that worked.

Once you’ve entered into an argument about, say, ethnic or religious cleansing, you’ve essentially legitimised the idea of somebody’s right to continue to exist is up for debate and that cleansing all the minorities and cleansing nobody at all are equally extreme or valid points of view.
