The DC grand jurors did the right thing by withholding this indictment. Dems need to do the right thing by them: end taxation without representation. DC voters are owed representation in Congress and full home rule.

When the GOP's Reign of Error is done, Dems need to institute DC as the 51st state.
Prosecuting lawmakers for their speech is a clear assault on the most basic of American freedoms. Fortunately the grand jury stopped this in its tracks, but it should never have gotten this far.
Breaking news: A federal grand jury refused the Justice Department’s attempts to indict six Democratic lawmakers over their comments to military service members — the latest rebuke of the Trump administration’s push to prosecute the president’s foes.

This useless detention cost could've been applied to making healthcare/housing affordable. But the 1%'ers and their MAGA acolytes prefer the indulgence of free-floating malice & power for its own sake.

But should D's retake power? The media will echo MAGA wails of woe: Whooooooo's gonna pay for it?

At a certain point, the cost of indulging someone's narcissism for either short-term security or financial concerns becomes too much for the system or individual to bear.

And now I'm just waiting for a critical mass of other Americans to reach the point that I reached long ago.
Since a lot of the coverage is omitting this detail: The Kennedy Center HAD a $250 million renovation and expansion just a few years ago, in 2019.

Full points for delivery of an emotionally sincere and searing monologue as well as for a brave sartorial commitment to the bit. IMO, he hasn't quite nailed Adam West's inimitable cadences yet, but I'm looking forward to checking out his future work.

Bravo, caped crusader!

Bystander video exposing atrocities is a nice echo of the ancient idea of the cosmos as a community of watchers.

Today, something somehow reminded me of that time Rick Perry couldn't remember which government departments he had vowed to close.

Remember when an oops moment on the world stage like that could embarrass the GOP?

Someone needs to tell the sitting members of Congress that 🎶 this is how we do it 🎶
Tonight, the President of the United States has launched an unconstitutional war of aggression, dooming another generation to spill their blood for oil, and lay waste to a sovereign nation.

I demand that Congress exercise its power, halt this conflict, and impeach this war criminal president.
