“I have to carve the gargoyles, because I can carve nothing else; I leave to others the angels and the arches and the spires.” —G.K. Chesterton Once I was a prolific doodler. Now I do this. ZERO tolerance for leveraging (or encouraging) AI or fascism.

The question is not, Could you live in Duluth?

The question is, Do you know yourself well enough to ask, Could you live in Duluth?

They take so long to read because I constantly have to stop and ask: "what the hell am I looking at?" Grotesque but not repulsive, confrontational but not hostile, Kevin O'Neill makes my brain turn inside-out. (In a good way.)

Two new (to me) volumes! Is... there such a thing as "too much NEMESIS THE WARLOCK"?
delldracula.bsky.social
I guess I meant "only hope unique to today." The hopes that we can get on with living (fascism ends, that the AI bubble explodes, et al) stand.
delldracula.bsky.social
My only hope for the day is that when the NEMESIS THE WARLOCK books arrive in the mail, I can retrieve them before anyone sees them.

Wow. Another year and another snub by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee of every individual known to be in the Epstein files. Almost starting to seem intentional.

White House staff should just make and show him an AI-generated video where he wins, fly him to Duluth and tell him it’s Oslo, and dare the New York Times to say anything more than “Experts disagree about whether Mr Trump was awarded the Nobel Prize”.

My drawing hand's not doing well so it's all old rerun art for Halloween this year. I really want to work on some new horror movie art before too long. Bleagh.
Drawing done of Nola Carveth and her brood children from the movie The Brood. Drawn in blue and red pencil with some lines darkened with a regular drawing pencil.

I’ve been gone awhile because things have been very hard at home. I find myself at an unfathomable point, and my heart is absolutely broken. If you’re able to donate and share, my gratitude is deep. I never wanted to get here. Thank you for your consideration and assistance. gofund.me/0b0592ad0

I don't even know what to say about @aaron.bsky.team announcing that actually they feed all images posted on Bsky into an AI that just a year ago they told everyone they had banned from using Bsky images

Look at all my hideous scars! But don't look at my face that part is a secret.
delldracula.bsky.social
I will rarely argue *against* a superhero costume in a superhero comic—but for Kaine, a trenchcoat makes 1000x more sense than the bodysuit that highlights his scars/degenerative deformities and the fuchsia shawl.
delldracula.bsky.social
It is probably a tie for difficulty. There's long hair either way. And both options have billowing fabric (the trenchcoat or the giant scarf) and both options hide the face—with a mask or a beard... both helpful cheats.

I am aware Mikey Day is the host. But typing "Host" seemed easier at the time; I did not anticipate typing this supplemental message.

The host of "Is It Cake?" appears behind Kaine with a knife.

Host: "IS IT CAPE?!"

He carves the spike in half and Monty Python-amounts of blood spurt everywhere.

Kaine: AAARGH! My shoulder horn!!

Host: IT IS NOT CAPE

Try: absolutely nothing, and then go support indie bookstores instead 📚

Poet William Blake and physicist Werner Heisenberg shared a fear: that science, while granting us power over the world, was cutting us off from reality itself. | https://bit.ly/3KBmcAC

Mark Vernon argues that only imagination and poetry can reconnect us with its vivid particulars.
