Mostly correct. An accurate valuation of crypto is zero. An accurate valuation of gold is close to zero. If society crumbles you want stores of beans and ammo, not a colored rock or computer token.

Yes, but it could have been eons ago for these troops. So far, most of them are support units. REALLY important people for emergencies, but not for the mission as described. Not even MPs as far as I can tell. NG has infantry and even Special Forces units, but I don't think any have been activated.
