"Last Nite" is a good song but do you know what else is good? Every song on 'Turn on the Bright Lights'.

I successfully was just like, "Okay cool" about the Rolling Stone best songs of the 2000s list until I realized that The Strokes' "Last Nite" was at 12 while Interpol didn't make the list at all.

This movie was fucking incredible. Like a French feminist horror successor to Hennenlotter's Brain Damage.

Pretty good! I liked that it mostly was sad and downbeat, it looked nice and had some interesting worldbuilding.

I remember being a kid and thinking the scrambled porn channels were just bad soap operas and not getting why the adults in the room wanted me to change the channel so quick.

So far The Bride From Hades has been my favorite watch of our horror marathon. Late '60s peak Daiei studios retelling of an oft-adapted 17th century Japanese ghost story.

My other standouts are the underrated early '80s Miramax slasher The Burning, and my long-delayed viewing of Day of the Dead.

This is the giallo-adjacent thing Jack was teasing, and if you need a bit of a jump start on gialli, here's a list of my 20 favorites of the 50-ish I've currently seen.
