@mrjamesob.bsky.social Emma’s stories resonated much of what we as a family experienced for 5+years until mums passing last January. Fortunately my sisters is an OT and sourced everything, her partner was an absolute star and the rest of us supported as we could, no real help out there.

Just been for PSA blood test apparently not many men have requested one after it had been a news headline last week and there being no plans for a screening program. (30% false positive).
Very simple blood test. In and out in 5 mins. Then just waiting for a text.

Friend of mine (EU citizen) has son studying (for free) in an university in Prague

The son just won a 2 months internship over the summer in Athens and gets a top up of €2,000 from Erasmus as part of the EU youth mobility initiative.

Incredible how many opportunities the British youth are missing.

Democrats need to watch him - he has what a lot of them are lacking. Charisma and the ability to answer every question and not create shitty sound bytes. And he seems like a genuinely nice person - which is also something a lot of politicians need a lesson in right now.

We’re in Brazil — one of the world’s great democracies, one of our biggest trading partners — and not a single person from the Trump Administration showed up.

That’s shameful.

While the Trump Administration makes this country unrecognizable, California remains a stable, reliable partner in the fight for a clean energy future.

How short our memories are.

Just a few years ago, nurses carried this country through a pandemic, and now they're suffering a 55% surge in racist abuse.

To every nurse: London stands with you. You are loved and valued, and always will be.

"Nigel Farage has refused to rule out a link between paracetamol and autism" is the lead item on LBC News.

Why?

Why?

He's not a doctor, he's not an expert, he's not a Minister, he's not the PM, he's not the opposition. Why is his bullshit the most important item on the news?

Why?

With Farage insisting 'when it comes to science, I don't side with anybody', the only right thing to do is persuade him to 'challenge' the 'supposed laws of physics' by standing under a falling piano or prove that 'biology is all lies' by getting repeatedly bitten by 'so called poisonous' snakes.
