Yes, it’s my book, but now’s a good time to revisit #HowardThurman’s insights about social action to oppose discrimination & oppression, build compassion & community, & not be consumed, like MAGA/Trump, with hatred that ultimately destroys oneself & community: www.paulistpress.com/Products/569...

This would be an excellent moment for politicians to stop demonizing universities.
I also thought about this possibility the moment I heard about the MIT thing

Looking forward to reading this book! I also want to see if any of our students at Oxford College of Emory University could put some of its suggestions to use with one of our Pierce Social Justice grants to make a difference in our local community (~40 miles from Atlanta).
Feeling really grateful to see THERE IS NO PLACE FOR US on this NYT list of the books readers were most excited about this year.

Thank you to everyone who's been reading and sharing it.

Here's a video I took of the interior of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo in #Ravenna. It gives you a good sense of what it's like to view the amazing mosaics on site--the saints procession, the Palatium, and the christological panels.

This kind of dangerously criminal conduct by "law enforcement officers" who know they are being recorded only occurs if it is tolerated at the top.
It cannot be tolerated in a democracy.
Besides the numerous threats to arrest, they are also pointing weapons at those who follow them.
