One thing that might get a little overlooked here is how important it is that DHS is massively exaggerating arrest totals (10k??). What people on the ground know is that immigration enforcement is barely occurring, and ICE/DHS are really conducting a terror campaign in the guise of enforcement.

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

Annual reminder that King didn't say *people* should be judged by their character rather than their skin. He said he dreamed of a future day when *his children* would live in such a state, while observing they did not; that U.S. had never delivered on its founding promises.

Have we really just passed the anniversary of the greatest Replacements gig I ever saw? The calendar doesn’t lie, so I’m reposting a piece I wrote about the Tim box set, which contains a disc devoted to that incredible 1/11/86 show at Chicago’s Cabaret Metro.

Part of “Which Side Are You On?” involves regularly asking myself who’s on that side with me, *enough.* Not, “who who was slow to catch on,” or “who doesn’t fight fascism the way I think we should,” or even “who *used* to be on the wrong side?” Just, who, like me, knows fascism must fall.

They handed out cards bearing the names of people killed by ICE in this second Trump era.

There are a lot of cards.

This slogan adopted by Kristi Noem, "One of Ours, All of Yours," is taken from the Nazis, who retaliated for the killing of an SS officer by murdering all the inhabitants of the Czech village of Lidice, apparently none of whom had anything to do with it, and razing the village to the ground.

The ICE agent who murdered Renee Good must be prosecuted for murder. He enjoys no immunity from state murder charges.
Then, Blue state governors must call up their National Guard to protect us from the armed ICE terrorists.
