Sinners getting the most noms of all time is kinda an amazing moment. The promise of the movies! a weird (and frankly wobbly) vampire movie that often resembles good trash like John Carpenter’s Vampires can rise to the top because it‘s stuffed with deeper truths and connects across a mass audience.
