I regret to inform you all, I've just remembered the worst portmanteau neologism of the last 30 years.
Gastronaut.
I'm sorry.

@irismurdoch.bsky.social am getting a bit obsessed by the recipes in the sea the sea. Eggs cooked in eggs. Conceptually recursive and something I’ve not been able to stop thinking about the practicalities or lack thereof of making.

What is the plural of syllabus? At the end of an ancient papyrus or parchment scroll would sometimes be a hanging tag called a σιττύβα that was later misread as σίλλυβος (sillybos). This tag transmitted the title or author of the work. Thus the true neo-Greek plural should be sillyboi, which is fun.

1. Should I add butter to this food?
2. Would melted cheese on top improve this food?
3. Should I add a bit more butter to this food?
4. What's on telly?
