Incredible name, 10/10, no notes.
there are four in total, with rapidly diminishing quality, though one has the best actor name ever in the shape of Yolanda Squatpump

I think we need to call out the science fiction writers who thought that billionaires would fund sexy android replicas of some lost lover.

Metropolis would hit differently if Rotwang builds a machine and all it does is say 'Joh Fredersen, your eyebrows are weird. You must have a small dick'.
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

Amazingly it just keeps escalating.
On May 11, 1950, while working on the Rawlins National Bank in Wyoming, a construction crew unearthed a whiskey barrel that contained a human skeleton with its skull cap sawed off & an odd pair of shoes. Dr. Lillian Heath, now in her 80s, was asked if she knew anything about it...🧵

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

"But as the images these tools could generate got ‘better’ – sharper, cleaner, more convincing – they slipped across a line into a kind of creepy I didn’t like. Oily. Rubbery. Like fairy treasure that turns to shit when you see it in broad daylight."

Nailed the uncanny valley effect of AI imagery.

I've now had a credible report that Monty was run over a few doors down from my house on 11th November. I have now conducted close searches of every garden he could possibly have reached. Over a week on from the accident I am sad to say that I don't think that Monty is coming home. 🐈‍⬛

UPDATE: I have discovered that the person who called with the report of Monty being hit by a car was a prank caller.

So he may still be out there.
UPDATE: I received a call from someone who saw Monty run over by a car.

They were vague as to whether he was lying by the road or if it just happened there (English wasn't their first language) but I have been searching gardens there to no avail.

I will keep looking but am braced for the worst.

I've been collecting pandemic era signs that nobody can be bothered to take down or remove. There's something grimly fascinating about this. Putting them up was urgent and important; removing them is nobody's job. How long will some of these hang around?

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

That would be Anthony Horowitz, the guy who (spoilers) killed Bond off in his latest book?

Truly the world's most pathetic man.
I know people think Musk only bought Twitter to help the rise of fascism.

While that’s important, I still think it’s secondary to his primary goal, which was to own the place where his fans praise him.

With AI, Musk’s use of the platform for love and validation is only getting more transparent.
