Today has been stressful as I take steps toward getting the two orange pumpkins in my garage spayed/neutered/vaccinated. Thankfully, I called the shelter back and got some clarifications! We may just go through TNR for now and see about rehoming them once they settle.

It's not getting as much buzz, but Tomodachi life letting you actually make aro/ace miis in addition to being gay/bi is a nice addition. Plus the fact that you can have platonic housemates now, instead of that being exclusive to marriage is cool.

No media outside of Kansas has picked up on the fact that the state just enacted a de facto public ban and papers-please act against trans people, and they won't, because trans people are only newsworthy if it furthers our dehumanization.
Kansas just passed a monstrous bill enabling criminal penalties and vigilante lawsuits for trans people using the bathroom according to their gender identity and requires them to surrender their current drivers licenses and birth certificates if it does not match their sex assigned at birth.

Honestly, I think the way people cling to Harry Potter is concerning because there is so much fantasy out there. So many imaginative stories, both before and after Harry Potter, that probably excel, but because of nostalgia, people cling to the books despite JKR's genuinely evil behavior.
