also if I’m being extremely real, so much of what’s determined as ‘cringe’ is just art or hobbies that don’t appeal to the str8 white guy’s taste and when i realized that, ‘cringe’ totally departed from something I give a fuck about

Honestly, I think the way people cling to Harry Potter is concerning because there is so much fantasy out there. So many imaginative stories, both before and after Harry Potter, that probably excel, but because of nostalgia, people cling to the books despite JKR's genuinely evil behavior.
