inspiringly hopeful session on the loss of the Institute for Museum & Library Services. so many stories we can tell about the "transformative, utility level impact” of libraries in every community, and ways those stories can help secure funding for US libraries going forward #internetlibrarian

attending #internetlibrarian today, and it's making me long for the old library twitter days, so i'm on a follow spree! hi!

how many librarians does it take make the world seem a little less scary and a little more hopeful? a LOT, but damn we're BRIGHT when we get together.

i love being gay, it brings me so much joy in so many ways - but one reason is that in relationships, we're just people. with baggage and problems to work through together, sure - but without this binary system constantly telling one of us to man up and the other to clean up after them.
This viral tiktok made me think of a fantastic article by my friend @melaniehamlett.bsky.social “men have no friends & women bear the burden”

This is extremely impressive from Carney. Not so much as a blink or a nod while all this nonsense gets spouted next to him. www.nytimes.com/video/us/pol...
