Very legally significant.

I am going to avoid the gory details in these texts.

NYT also reporting: "Two of the gunshot wounds were not immediately life-threatening, the autopsy found." It appears to be bullet that appeared to go through the left-side window that was.

I think he’s weak against her specifically. I wouldn’t be surprised if he declined to run again with an AOC challenge. She’s smart and influential enough, she could probably negotiate with him off stage and allow him to bow out and pass the torch, rather than be shit canned by 15 points.
i will say, i think the only sane outlet for that anger is primary challenges, not abstention

for instance, if schumer can't find some stones on this, that becomes the casus belli for an aoc challenge to him

This is a great list. I’ve been paying close attention to what people are doing in Minneapolis for many reasons, but an important one is so I’ll know what to do when they come to Boston.
🧵ICE's tactics for arresting and holding observers and protestors is ever-shifting, and I'm hearing lots of different stories. Right now, my perspective is that these are your best practices:

Looks like we’re getting a picture of ICE savagely beating detainees to death. Or to severe brain damage.

Yer man could have used a couple more hours of training. Or something.

This video filmed by Ben Luhmann shows the moment a federal agent sprayed chemical irritants directly into a man's face in south Minneapolis.

Three agents already had the man pinned to the ground when a fourth agent walked up and sprayed the irritants.

Our reporting has found that ICE sent 600 immigrant kids to detention in federal shelters in 2025.

A 17-year-old was detained at a traffic stop because officers couldn’t make contact with his dad, who is deaf.

Another kid ended up in a shelter after making a wrong turn:

Agencies say these legal refugees are among the most highly vetted people in the United States.

They are targeting children because they are trying incite violence. I have talked to many journalists today, and they all made the same observation: Border Patrol and ICE have been rolling around with maximum aggression, lingering for ages as crowds, gather, seemingly trying to cause a riot.

Luckily this also is where most of our national reporters check the zeitgeist.
The nonstop stream of North Korea-like propaganda about Trump's Davos fiasco at The Bad Place is something else. Knee-slapping nonsense about him owning the "globalists." Elon has created a hermetically sealed off universe in which the global white nationalist/fascist movement can feed off itself.

It has nothing to do with any fancy theory. The Fed is the part he could trash that would directly hurt them. They’re rich people with rich friends who will use their power to protect their wealth. Alpha and omega.
#SCOTUS is likely to do the right thing in the Lisa Cook case.

But it's worth bearing in mind that this idea that the Fed is some bespoke exception to the unitary executive theory is utterly incoherent as a matter of both law and history—and is really just proof that the UET is itself bollocks:
153. Living by the Ipse Dixit
A constitutional principle like the "unitary executive theory" isn't worth all that much if the Supreme Court can conjure new, unprincipled exceptions to it by simply asserting that they exist.
