Unfortunately, I put it in the oven, set the timer, and then started playing Vantage.

2 hours later my brain went 'Hey. where the _hell_ did my timer go'. Clearly I turned it off mindlessly and forgot.

So that attempt is dead as a doornail. I'll try again next week sometime.
Today was super busy, but also the first opportunity I had to try to test out the 'pumpkin tourte' (cheesecake) from Tasting History, which I'm testing in order to possibly serve at Thanksgiving.
The real question I have is how often I'll get to play it, and if it'll stick with me.
I vibe with it - all the pieces feel interconnected well. The only real cross-player interaction is the neighbor cards, which obviously I didn't get the full feel for, but the rewards are _significant_ so I'd expect to see it a fair bit over 12 rounds.
I'm sure there was more, but messes were made.

I still enjoyed it. Self-teaching took like 2 hours.

This game is huge - solo reached more than halfway down the table lengthwise. I'd need a bingo-hall table layout to fit a large party of players.

It's heavier than Twilight Inscription.
- You get the reward _after_ finishing the row. Yes, even on the minor projects.
- You get a whole task for completing a row of shipped goods, not a single action.
Things I know I screwed up:
- Can't ship goods adjacent to the same color goods.
- You may _either_ sell goods or ship them.
- When you set up the cards for each round, you pull two cards from the 'new season' cards and three from the deck. not 'shufflenfuckit' or whatever I was doing.
I broke out the deluxe flip-and-write Tend by IV Studios today to teach myself the game. I like! But I messed up every single rule at least once.
You know, I constantly see people griping about obvious comments in code.

I spend a lot of time writing comments explaining what I _thought_ I was doing, because I keep running into code that does -something-.... but probably not what they intended. I think.

And I can never be _sure_.

If being against a guy with a Nazi tattoo makes me a purist I guess I'm an anti-Nazi purist. If you think that makes me an anti-Nazi single issue voter, you're wrong, but also it's a pretty good single issue.

There is more than a year. Go get another real progressive who doesn't have a Nazi tattoo.
I'mma have to remember to unblock all the USG accounts when they stop sounding like 4chan users.

Pretty much every single one of these new government accounts is posting rage bait. It's possible (like 100% guaranteed) they are trying to provoke people here on purpose, so don't fall for it. Blockity block block block.
Gotta block ‘em all!
Here’s the one-stop shopping blocklist to disappear the Trump regime accounts that swarmed Bluesky yesterday.

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain.

Donald Trump and his regime have committed at least 20 of those same offenses highlighted in yellow.

Do you think I’d explain my masterstroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting its outcome? I made the NYPD woke 35 minutes ago.

I may choose to take this moment to rest and down tools, maybe let the Mouse get closer to the end of act 2, share some energy there.
Spent a fair bit of today pulling together the requirements to get to Act 3 in Silksong, and I'm stopping before picking up my least favorite fight of the game so far: Groal the Great. Hugely long run to the site, long pre-arena.

Reward for the victory is a nearby bench. ... and the soul I need.

Holy shit, Fr Dowling.
Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”

What Thiel is saying about tax havens = what Altman is saying about copyright:

"I can't be rich unless you let me steal from you."

This is how Broligarchs differ from oligarchs of yore: the latter tried to hide their thievery; the Broligarchs trumpet their entitlement to steal as a natural right.
