Last night in Caerphilly was a disappointing night for TV broadcasters but hopefully it won’t hinder the amount of coverage given to Nigel Farage throughout today and into the weekend

"Amazing result for Plaid Cymru, so here's a guest from Reform anyway..."

This from Mason suggesting Reform 'barely existed a few years back' really is just wrong. Reform are the clear successors to Nigel Farage's UKIP - who won over 12% in a general election a decade ago.

That scene of the Welsh BBC correspondent being the only person interviewing Caerphilly's new Plaid AM while the rest of the media interviewed Reform's loser in the background was far too on the nose.

This is the BNP 2005 manifesto: it is a much more moderate proposal than that of Chris Philp and Katie Lam for the 2025 Conservatives since BNP accepted that people settled here legally have legal status (which the 2025 Conservatives do not recognise) and so proposes voluntary incentives to leave.

Further to this - and once again I am doing the basic research that political journalists should have done six months ago - Lam said on the record in Parliament that this *does* apply to pensions/pensioners.

Never mind every other single abominable or corrupt thing to this miserable moment, the extrajudicial and unevidenced execution of 34 human beings by the U.S. Navy on the orders of a U.S. President acting in peacetime is sufficient for his impeachment and conviction.

Should be a v simple choice for Badenoch’s LOTO - either withdraw this mad “Idi Amin x 20” mass deportation bill or they should be treated by everyone in politics as what they are - more extreme on immigration than the BNP or any democratic govt anywhere
LOTO should obviously now withdraw this mad bill if they say they would design the conditions "carefully" since they clearly have either not read or not understood what the Shadow Home Secretary has actually drafted and put to first reading

• They can't say if it would apply to all other benefits eg statutory maternity pay.
• Won't say if it would apply to people with ILR who have UK national kids and/or spouse.
• Very few answers at all: "There are always going to be fringe cases & the policy will need to be designed very carefully."

Philp said Farage went too far so must be unclear about his own bill

There are a small group (people who earn £38k-60k) who Reform would kick out who the Conservatives might keep. But the draft bill would kick most of them out too, and most spouses, parents because of the state support definition
