Omg one of my favourite weird 70s stories! “I am the keeper of the jewel of the Masquerade, which lies waiting safe inside me for you… or eternity.”

could I interest you in the recut and delirious In the Aftermath (Carl Colpaert, 1988)?

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

I was walking home from the corner store and passed a man in a black full length hooded woolen cloak and I'm sorry, that needs to come back as standard late fall wear. November is meant to say things like "Hark! Weary traveler! I feel I must warn you the local Public House is out of Coke Zero."

It’s weird that numerous filmmakers lately are touting their films as being “X-rated” when the rating hasn’t been used in over thirty years. Where is this coming from and why can’t anyone just accept and commit to the NC-17?

This makes me wonder something: has anyone sat through an entire movie at the cinema, unsubtited, in a language they don’t speak? Or am I just weird?
Wildest thing happened at my screening of Branded to Kill (1967) turns out the digital file the Alamo drafthouse I went to see it didn’t come prepackaged with subtitles. So the audience spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what the characters were saying. Got a movie pass and snack coupon though.
