Patients can ask doctors questions and get answers they understand, but AI makes decisions out of sight. HB1406 would prohibit using an AI program to overturn a diagnosis made by a doctor, keeping medical decisions between a doctor and patient, not inside a computer chip. #NHPolitics

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Reverend Jesse Jackson. Today, I celebrate the life of a giant who was a pillar of justice for labor, education, and communities across this nation.

May we carry forward the hope that he kept alive and remember that justice is a collective responsibility.

Rev. Jesse Jackson dedicated his life to the struggle for civil and voting rights for Black Americans, and human rights for all people. His passing leaves a void in my soul, and I will miss his example of enduring service for the betterment of society. RIP Rev. Jackson.

Throughout his life, Rev. Jesse Jackson showed us what it meant to step up and care for the oppressed. Though he has left us today, his lasting courage and service to our nation will continue to resonate for generations. Rest in peace.

I interviewed Jesse Jackson a number of times through the years, particularly when he would return home to SC.

He sought out AP often on news of the day, when I'd answer the phone, hear this & scramble for a pen:

"Please hold for Rev. Jackson."

Police car chases are really dangerous for bystanders, suspects, and officers alike.

ICE has massive resources and has immigrants' personal info, so they can always detain someone later on.

They should never initiate high-risk car chases that can get people killed — especially for a civil offense.

I’d love to get every single Democrat on board with “abolish ICE and dismantle DHS” but you’re going to need some votes from folks who don’t want to embrace that particular rhetoric and good news “there’s just too much corruption we’ve got to dismantle it to solve the problem” is sitting right there
gotta do investigations into DHS “waste, fraud and abuse” as pretext for killing the agency

Talk amongst yourselves.

I’ll give you a topic.

The Merrimack, New Hampshire detention center should neither be in Merrimack nor New Hampshire.

Discuss.
I will be on the Rachel Maddow show live tonight talking about the Merrimack, NH Detention Center and why we don't want it in Merrimack or New Hampshire.
