That's right:
If this Most Cited List (from a Leiter post earlier this year on political philosophy books with over 4000 citations) is right then it's wild just how hard liberalism is winning in political philosophy. Total ideological domination.

This is what happens when someone who has accepted almost $500k in campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry is chosen to run the EPA. Might as well rename it the “Oil and Gas Industry Protection Agency” since Lee Zeldin has no interest in protecting our environment. #NHPolitics #NH01
Breaking News: The Trump administration repealed the bedrock scientific finding that greenhouse gases threaten human life and well being, meaning that the EPA can no longer regulate them. nyti.ms/4rSszQu

It's giving chaoscore:
if you're an older person who finds words like mogg and maxxing annoying, just starting using them. people over the age of 30 have the superpower to end trends by simply adopting them

I apologize on behalf of New Hampshire; we're actually not all cheaters here (although Corey Lewandowski certainly is):
PornHub’s new VDay map is bleak. Age verification laws have done so much damage

Oh hey my alma mater is on the list:
Not all of the best universities in the country are on the list, and not all of the universities on the list are the best the country, but damn, it's a pretty good list of some of the best universities in the country. They're the kind of universities we want military officers to be able to attend.

From what I hear, Thomas Massie is a "prepper" who lives off-grid and is very difficult to get in touch with. Although, as the saying goes, "Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get you."
Thomas Massie tweeting out a "if I die I was murdered" statement is a very concerning development.

They all get threats but he's clearly rattled by them.

Time to do a dive into whether the owners of the property have donated to Ayotte, the Executive Council, and legislative leaders.

Sorry, I haven't been able to stop thinking about someone typing "tentage and a guard shack" in a document about securing environmental and historic approval to build a concentration camp in a small town in NH where my grandparents lived.

Regarding the facility ICE wishes to operate in Merrimack, NH on a 43-acre site containing an existing warehouse building: "Tentage and a guard shack may also be installed." p. 11.

The location has some interesting neighbors that shows up better in the color version of Open Streets Map. (Rough project site in yellow).

Not in their application: the campground, Boston TRACON and BAE (Space Systems & Electronics facility). This is not a good spot to add more electronic noise.

Unfortunately this document containing the ACLU's RTK request regarding the Merrimack ICE facility doesn't appear to have been OCR-ed... I'll have to give it another look from my computer (on my phone now):

Absolutely reprehensible:
SCOOP: Social Security workers are being told to give the details of appointments customers are making to ICE, raising the prospect of secret police abducting people going to mandatory SSA appointments. @zoeschiffer.bsky.social, @telliotter.bsky.social, and @leahfeiger.bsky.social have more.
Social Security Workers Are Being Told to Hand Over Appointment Details to ICE
The recent request goes against decades of precedent, and puts noncitizens at further risk of immigration enforcement actions.

It’s 52 F.

The sun is shining. The ice even at the bottom of the driveway melting away. It feels so delicious outside. And my guy loves his kitty.

An attorney for Sen. Elissa Slotkin is urging the Justice Department to shut down an investigation into a viral video telling members of the military not to follow "illegal orders" after a federal grand jury in D.C. rejected an attempt to indict her and five other Democrats.
'The grand jury has spoken': Elissa Slotkin's lawyer tells DOJ to close social video probe
Moving forward with the case after a failed attempt to indict six Democrats, Slotkin's attorney wrote, "would violate clear ethical duties and Justice Department policy."

Seattle’s millionaire tax is a huge success. Here is how grassroots groups beat big money and are now raising tons of money for mixed income, rent stabilized housing. (We call it “social housing.”)

Maura Healey was actually raised in New Hampshire before moving to Massachusetts... raised in Hampton Falls, and went to Winnacunnet:
Massachusetts Gov. @maura-healey.bsky.social just released a statement calling on Gov. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire (who has frequently bashed her southern neighbor) to oppose the planned ICE detention center in Merrimack, NH. #NHPolitics

OK, I guess he *is* actually running, then.
(no idea where he got the notion that I've been a supporter of his specifically; maybe just as a Democrat in general?)

Pikmin Bloom day in review: I tried going north from the State House today after getting out of session. Unfortunately the large number of sidewalks that remain uncleared left my options pretty limited.

Granite Place (where House committee hearings have been moved due to renovations at the LOB) is currently inaccessible due to uncleared sidewalks
(this is my first attempt at trying to reach it since legislative business moved there)
