This is often the case at the local level, too, but Dems still often have to show up for their events anyways, because they're the only ones putting them on:
The idea that the Chamber of Commerce is "left-wing" is beyond insane. It is completely disconnected from reality. Chamber of Commerce was to the right of Reagan.
libs getting the chamber of commerce in the national divorce, sure, why not, welcome aboard

The part I hate is that the left doesn't get credit for it, but the hard-right is still trying to undercut it.

They could have just fought us for the profits and the credits and we'd still get clean air, but noooooo
It's kinda annoying how solar panels were hung around the neck of the left as impractical pie in the sky treehugger shit *right* up until it started outcompeting every other energy source. Then suddenly, instead of going "hey the left was correct about solar" it's no longer a "left" idea!

One thing I have learned from politics is that that @xkcd.com comic about someone being wrong on the internet also applies to real life.
I like to use real life as a sort of internet

My hot take on Taiwan is that it's really impressive how popular Pikmin Bloom is there. Based on how many postcards I receive, it seems even more popular there than it is in Japan, believe it or not?
My hot take on Taiwan is that I wish we would fully commit to the defense of Taiwan and also that saying that out loud may be an absolute disaster especially with this President.

Also you should visit sometime, it's nice.

Buttigieg is doing events with Chris Pappas and Maggie Goodlander on Thursday. I think those will be in Atkinson, Nashua, and Manchester.

He's speaking at Dartmouth on Friday.

And then he's doing this event in Concord on Saturday:

Can Trump’s Plan for Warehouse Immigrant Detention Camps Be Stopped?
ICE has the money it needs to turn warehouses into prisons for immigrants. But local pressure stopped one project in its tracks.

Mamdani is not going to start his mayoral tenure by slashing services for working people to pay for Adams’s mismanagement.

The city is required to balance the budget.

So the state can either raise taxes on the ultra rich—or the city has to look to other tools.

So wait I'm seeing some Ramadan posts today, even though my calendar said it started tomorrow? Anyways, which should I be observing today, Ramadan, Fat Tuesday, or Lunar New Year?
Lots of holidays in the upcoming week or so:
- Tomorrow is a Friday the 13th
- Saturday is Valentine's Day
- Monday is Presidents' Day
- Tuesday is Lunar New Year
- Wednesday is both Ash Wednesday and the first night of Ramadan, marking the second year in a row Ramadan and Lent run concurrently

DHS is using administrative subpoenas to obtain thousands of YOUR records from major companies.

These subpoenas are signed by DHS staff—not a judge—and are being used to target immigrants, advocates, and journalists.

Rev. Jesse Jackson was a trailblazer and civil rights hero. Our country will forever be grateful for his lifelong dedication to fighting for full justice and equality for every American. I send my heartfelt condolences to my colleague Rep. Jonathan Jackson and the entire Jackson family.

Jesse Jackson's campaigns for president in 1984 and 1988 helped create the image of what the modern Democratic Party seeks to be but rarely seems to achieve: a multiracial coalition of voters dedicated to economic fairness.

Last year, Republicans made the choice to defund Medicaid while giving ICE a $75 BILLION budget increase.

When Dems take back control, we can and must undo this abomination. Cut ICE’s budget. Fund healthcare. Reverse the House’s GOP cruelty and arrogance.

Patients can ask doctors questions and get answers they understand, but AI makes decisions out of sight. HB1406 would prohibit using an AI program to overturn a diagnosis made by a doctor, keeping medical decisions between a doctor and patient, not inside a computer chip. #NHPolitics
