Hate to say this, but more wind on the way for Friday. It looks similar to today’s, but perhaps a bit more of a foothills/mountain event.

More tomorrow…

Trump on Venezuela: "Getting land, oil rights, whatever we had -- they took it away because we had a president that maybe wasn't watching. But they're not gonna do that. We want it back. They took our oil rights. We had a lot of oil there. They threw our companies out. And we want it back."

Latest such streak on record, 2nd-longest December 60°+ streak in 153 years of official record-keeping. Bonkers.

Climate science is deeply embedded into the fabric of this town. NIST, NOAA, NCAR/UCAR, and more--they all employ a huge segment of our citizens, and are central to climate science worldwide. It's not only climate change; it's wildfire info, hurricane and tornado info, flooding & blizzard data, etc.
Can’t tell the story of climate science without mentioning Boulder. My college degree was taught in large part by first-wave environmental scientists. NCAR cannot be allowed to be destroyed

Before the 1990s, plane crashes caused by microbursts used to kill planeloads of people fairly regularly.

Dr. Ted Fujita and NCAR scientists figured out how to detect microbursts and warn pilots about them.

Since then? Zero airliner crashes from microbursts.
