googled something and clicked a link to a website I'd never heard of that looked like a forum, read the discussion and realized the person asking a question and all of the answers were all LLM generated, the entire website was a fake forum pretending to be people asking/answering questions

course I’m sharing that, it’s likely the only time anybody will ever ask for an emergency theremin
Long shot, but does anyone in Switzerland have an emergency Theremin to loan tomorrow night ( Friday 12 December )?
#ViaMardot is playing a show in St Gallen, and the airline lost her equipment!!!

We can help pay for a courier if needed, please share to get this message out!!

What the GOP never realized is that once you embrace conspiracy theories, there are no limits. You don't get to say "this unfalsifiable belief is valid and true, but yours isn't." They embraced unreality and this is the result.

The point of accumulating political power ought to be to do what’s right. Otherwise you’re just hoarding power for its own sake.

Stopping the government from sending innocent people to a foreign prison where they were beaten, sexually assaulted, and tortured was the right thing to do.

I love the Lewis and Clark expedition, mainly because it's a series of them being like, "the Indians say there's a huge bear, but we've seen huge bears, I'm sure they're exaggerating" and then they run into a Grizzly Bear and are like HOLY SHIT BEARZILLA!!!!

Same story for the Rocky Mountains.

A bigot may remain a bigot in his heart, but it’s still very much a strategic win if he becomes too intimidated to be horrible to others in public. When bigots are afraid, it becomes a lot *harder* for them to recruit others and to brutalize innocent people.

You’d think the last 10 years would have taught people that it is in fact preferable when most of the horrible bigots feel too afraid to be vocal bigots in public.

We are currently experiencing what happens when a critical mass of Nazis decide it’s safe to let their fascist flag fly. It’s not good.

It is just deeply weird to me that Musk and others like him are worried about white people becoming a minority. Why the hell should I care if the world, or specific parts of it, have more people with darker skin than mine than they do people with the same color skin as mine?
Musk is just straight up white nationalist now.
(And helpfully decoding that Western Civilization=Whites)

Buried in the margins of this clearly important story is a maybe even more important story, one I keep hearing hints about but never see explored in-depth, that Republican opponents of Trump's agenda are being physically threatened on a regular basis.

Roger, I was not asking what the price tag was when my two week old needed to be hospitalized for a week with a fast-moving and potentially deadly infection.
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."
