This isn't good.
Trump just claimed on Truth Social that he’s “terminating, effective immediately, the Temporary Protected Status (TPS Program) for Somalis in Minnesota.”

By saying that Trump was being honest when he called a female reporter "Piggy," Leavitt also called her fat.
Q: What did the president mean when he called a reporter "piggy"?

LEAVITT: Look, the president is very frank & honest with everyone in this room. You'll all seen it yourself. You've all experienced it yourselves. And I think it's one of the many reasons the American people reelected this president

Regarding my post this morning: you're on Marquette in the single southbound lane, hugging the curb, and you want to turn on Grant. If you continue hugging the curb you're in the bike lane; if you're veer left of the island you're correct - but instinctively are you going to veer left of the island?

I for one look forward to all of the Waymos ending up in the bike lane when they try turning from S. Marquette onto E. Grand - especially in winter when the green zebra stripes are invisible.

Tidbit from an FDR biography I'm listening to: during WWI, Joseph P. Kennedy worked for Bethlehem Steel's Four Rivers Shipyard in Quincy, MA. It built 2 battleships for Argentina at the request of the US Navy..

The good news is we don't have to make these trades. Just nominate somebody willing to stand up for everyone. Not just because it's the right thing to do; it's a much more compelling message. It's a *winning* message. Trans people would very much like to beat Republicans; they're telling you how.

When you say put it all in one video… Hooooooly shit.

@codyjohnston.bsky.social really puts the scam in perspective.

This is touched on briefly but it’s now very obvious that the tariffs aren’t because he’s stupid (even though he is), but because *he has a bribe jar* and they are leverage.

This is depressing as fuck.
A few months ago @thelocal.to got a promising pitch from a writer with bylines in whole bunch of reputable publications—The Cut, The Guardian, Dwell, Architectural Digest, etc. Then I started investigating. Here's a story about fabulists in journalism's AI slop era. thelocal.to/investigatin...
Investigating a Possible Scammer in Journalism’s AI Era | The Local
A suspicious pitch from a freelancer led editor Nicholas Hune-Brown to dig into their past work. By the end, four publications, including The Guardian and Dwell, had removed articles from their sites.

Did you know they sped up the playback of Bruce Springsteen's "Hungry Heart" to give the production a more youthful sound? It's close enough to a key change from the original track that it almost sounds like a different artist!

Weird that almost none of these Republicans would sign the discharge petition, but once Trump says to do the release, they're suddenly enthusiastically on board. Almost like they have no independent will at all.
