the weirdest thing about season 2 of Fallout so far is that it's trying to do Fallout 4's wacky, cartoonish tone in the setting of New Vegas, which is very much not that, so it requires the writers to change what New Vegas is and make it a flanderized, cartoonishly over the top version of itself.
