Albany Park. Like Rogers Park an incredibly diverse neighborhood. Many refugees have been settled in these neighborhoods.

ICE is tear gassing people on residential streets.

This is like a foreign occupation.

It always looks silly from these guys but this basic logic where the most marginalized people are actually elites representing “the machine” is also the shared understanding people running newsrooms and universities believe as well.
dieworkwear.bsky.social
seems like a non-insignificant percentage of rage against the machine's fanbase are young republican men driving SUVs bopping their head to anti-oil, pro-immigrant songs thinking the lyrics are about how they wish their suburban parents would get off their back
Tom Morello tweets: "Fascinating that all those “don’t tread on me” posers and their AR-15’s are nowhere to be seen and government tyranny is instead being opposed by a guy in an inflatable frog suit."

Someone named Manny replies: "@grok
why do some people say Tom Morello and band mates are RAGE FOR THE MACHINE and not against ?"

Which can sound like an insufferably exponential combination of wine guy and jazz guy, but add in that he's a Bay Area transplant from the Alice Waters era, aloof but casual, mix of salt of the earth and Berkeley, and it's all relaxed and neighborly; might say genuinely pretentiously unpretentious.

The wine shop with the eccentric owner who finds random cases from closed restaurants and changes in distributors and then marks them down often to $10-$15 a bottle also plays records that match the obscurity and quality of what he carries. Tonight it was: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8seP...

These freaks keep getting on TV talking about opposing antifa and how they believe antifa wants to destroy them, and not a single person in mainstream media has asked or commented on what is the opposite of antifascism and who is threatened by antifascists

Stephen Miller just said that Chicago ICE raid was one of the most successful law enforcement operations ever. I asked Pritzker to respond.

"If this was Pinochet’s Chile, if this was Argentina under authoritarian rule, maybe you’d call it successful," he said. 2/
