#criticalrolespoilers I mean, we all knew CR4 was going to have anti-capitalist undertones, it's Brennan, but I guess I didn't see the Orwellian bits so immediately.
#criticalrolespoilers saw a reel on facebook about Animal Farm by George Orwell, which besides how the US is going, also seems to fit CR4? Like, the Sundered houses are the pigs, Thjazi is Boxer the horse (or maybe that's the current institutions: guards, magic school, Rev Council?). Icu Brennan
#criticalrolespoilers .but "Broken Wing" will be a very catchy tune across town, for sure.
Part of me hopes Wick and Tyrrany break off from the norm of their House, and tries to stop the slippery slope. But it would be INTERESTING to see Wick need to be persuaded by the others against the new norms.
#criticalrolespoilers Bolaire's museum is next, no doubt. Murray and other "problem" teachers will likely be fired. BUT that means motivation to...resist, in many ways. I'm sure if Hal writes a play about Thjazi or the Rebellion, that'll get shut down,...
#criticalrolespoilers Also, the execution was clearly a turning point for the Sundered houses. "Arcanist, skullduggery, and befouling Arcanism" are the true points the Houses were making an example for. Mixed with the new laws, the new Dean, the new guard structure...the power grab is so close.
#criticalrolespoilers so, Thjazi was executed by the Sundered houses because he's been stealing divine relics from them, stole the nightingale stone because they were going to; and the hideout was found because someone who knew of the stone cast locate object, right? The sabotage was just a bonus.

The remarks weren’t “about Charlie Kirk,” they were about how this administration is using Kirk’s death as an excuse to shut down critics … and they responded by proving him completely correct.

A chief executive publicly cheering for the firing of a critical media personality is a common feature of authoritarian states.

I hate to break it to everyone, especially since it’s been evident for a couple of months, but…

America is an authoritarian state.

a democratic politician calling out fox news hosts by name and identifying them as villains is necessary and has been sorely lacking
AOC: I saw on Fox, Jeanine Pirro says that they found so many babies and two year olds and four year olds receiving social security. I got a notice for you Jeanine Pirro: those babies receive social security because their parents died. That’s not a waste. That’s humanity. That’s America.

Yesterday, reporter Sam Husseini was dragged out of the White House Press Room for asking questions about Gaza.

We should all be alarmed by journalists being forcibly removed from asking questions.

It’s a step further towards authoritarianism and must not be ignored.
