Is #PortfolioDay a thing here as well?
Hi! I'm an English into LATAM Spanish video game translator, and these are 4 games that I worked on and came out this year.
Feels good to replace the "Under NDA" cards with the actual games, all thanks to the #TranslatorsInTheCredits movement!

This includes voice actors and outsourced localizers, btw! #TranslatorsintheCredits
(Looking at you, "Tales of" series, for leaving these people out of the credits despite reporting that 70% of players now come from overseas: bsky.app/profile/lizb...)
Everyone who worked on a video game needs to be in the credits:

Tomorrow has come. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available in Latin American Spanish!

Last night, during the Game Awards ceremony, Sandfall dropped patch 1.5, which brings new content, a Photo Mode, and most importantly (to me, at least), new languages, including Latam Spanish!

Amazing what we can achieve as a collective 🥹.

#TranslatorsInTheCredits
For the first time since its inception, I'm happy to report that ALL nominees of #TheGameAwards include #TranslatorsInTheCredits! We've come a long way since the dark days of credit withholding, and none of this would've been possible without your support!

Here’s my breakdown of EA’s pending sale… to Saudi Arabia… and why this is much, much bigger than video games. I’m late to this from a ‘news’ perspective obviously, but it’s because I worked on this video for about a month.

Get ready to unleash the Beast!

Dying Light: The Beast is out now, and I'm happy to say I worked on the LATAM Spanish adaptation from Castillian Spanish! As someone who really enjoyed the first game, I had a blast discovering the next chapter of Crane's story. 🥳

Very interesting article on the damage a rogue localizer can do to a game as Silksong's Chinese release sits at 52% positive - the translator not only shared a bunch of info pre-release, breaking NDA, the localization itself was highschool-flowery. A wild read. www.loekalization.com/blog/blog/20...

Congratulations on the launch of Silksong, @teamcherry.bsky.social!

However, it is a shame to see that the care with which the game was crafted does not extend to the French localization, which is riddled with errors.

Call me a ludite all you want, but the use of technology to fire human workforce in order to make magic numbers go up so investors give more money based on false claims is something I utterly despise. More so if said technology proves again and again to be a threat to human life, as Chatgepeté.

When someone aks what we think about the use of AI, the first question that comes to mind is always:

But why? Why would we, or anyone really, want to use it?

BREAKING: Silksong will be out on September 4. Two weeks from today. Really.

Often, games that take 7+ years to make are plagued by mismanagement and painful burnout. But for Silksong? Team Cherry was having a blast. They still are.

This is their story: www.bloomberg.com/news/newslet...

I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse:
New Mafia game, Sicily, 15-hour story, sick graphics, #TranslatorsInTheCredits. What more can you ask for?

I'm happy to announce I worked on the LATAM Spanish translation of Mafia: The Old Country (learning a bunch of Sicilian insults in the process)!
