If you want to support indie devs the best way to do it is to review their games on Steam, because games get a visibility boost the more reviews they have.
You don't need to write a long review for it to 'count' either, a single sentence is enough.

Had a feeling this was coming since they got rid of newest and made hashtags useless.
They force you to rely completely on their algorithm to be seen, and now they're making you pay up to use it.
(Also lol "identity protection" meanwhile they're scraping your art for their ai to replicate)

I just got this notification from this trial Meta is conducting. For art to be seen, fees are required. No more likes because your work is interesting to ppl, it is all just paid access to huge audiences. And these are just starting fees, they go up after a month. 👎😬😭

The shit part about most animation in America is that we keep making animators who are so goddamn passionate and skilled yet we force them to do other things because outsourcing is cheap and exploitative as all hell.
Now that the Adobe debacle has started to die down, please don’t forget about the animators. There are a lot of crafts, including animation, that have gotten the shit end of the stick during bargaining for decades. My craft is dying. We need more in house animation.

Adobe appears to have reversed course on this. Animate is safe, at least for the immediate future.

every time adobe does stupid bullshit people come out in droves to post a list of software alternatives that only maybe have 1 or 2 basic functions in common, and it always reminds me of a kid's cookbook i had that said "why toast marshmallows over a campfire when you can dip cupcakes in sprinkles?"

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever make it to the beautiful house and/or wife part of Once In A Lifetime or if I'm gonna just keep being stuck on shotgun shack forever. Like man I haven't even GOTTEN to the large automobile let alone found myself behind the wheel of one, this game's hard.
