(3/12) Israel has long since achieved its war aims -- destroying Hamas as an organized military force so October 7 can never be repeated and eliminating those responsible for its horrors – but at terrible cost to Palestinian civilians caught in a crossfire they did not start and were powerless to stop. Only the hostages remained. Israelis want them home and the war to end, putting pressure on the Israeli government to take the deal, not move the goalposts.

state police pushed protesters maybe a block and a half from the broadview ice detention center.

but now the remaining protesters are just chilling in the street, which was supposedly part of the reason they were ordered to disperse in the first place.

Oh they’ll definitely try to use it as evidence, and I’ve had one come up to me and try to intimidate me in a joking way, he was telling me how he sent a photo of me to his sergeant and they were just having a wee chuckle because the sarge thought my camera was a hammer. Lol right

I'm at the scene where ICE abducted multiple people from Lincoln and Foster this morning.

A WGN producer was among the people taken, allegedly because she was among a group of bystanders who tried to intervene. ICE agents hit this car while making their getaway.
