Looking at narratives in business, and adjacent areas of advertising, marketing, politics, and propaganda. Interested in how different types of stories and our own cognitive biases are used to persuade and exploit us. Love infographics & data visualization

Nothing to see here folks, just a sitting president investing in two companies whose merger he claims sole authority to approve or reject. Totally normal! 🙃

We know when power lies to protect itself. We know when cruelty is dressed up as policy. We’re choosing people over propaganda. #ChoosePeaceNotChaos

If you’ve gone far enough down the road that you’re shooting women in the face and hiring influencers to spread propaganda about how much she deserved it, we’re about a million miles past “reform”.

Because they have often voted as united front against nominees and since you can’t seem to remember this, it doesn’t make any difference to you anyway. You demand performative action and when you get it, you complain that it’s only performative. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you’re struggling to understand the creep of fascism, just think about the fact that the “opposition party” is now telling people to hope the same police that brutally murdered a man five years ago and set off the largest protest ever will now save them from an even more murderous police.

And it's the same trick of the rage-baiting NYTimes headlines.

People don't watch the videos. People don't read the whole article.
Framing matters.

We should stop giving guns and billions of dollars and total legal immunity to men who fantasize about murdering women.

Government goes tyrannical.

Gun advocates: "Maybe those people should learn to comply."

If we had a normal President, he'd express human decency and offer condolences for the MURDERED U.S. citizen under his watch.

Instead, we get a paragraph of propaganda and excuses that put the blame on the victim – a tactic Trump has used on women for decades.

Disgusting.

The cheapest way for America to access Greenland's mineral resources is to buy them. Greenland is happy to do business with its allies.
Trump thinks it will be less expensive to deploy the American military to the Arctic to steal what he wants.
Trump doesn't understand how business works.

If the DEA had killed 80 innocent Americans in the course of apprehending one drug dealer, there would be riots. But we are so ghoulishly indifferent to the lives and humanity of people abroad that it's barely even part of the conversation.
A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.
