Being right is necessary but not sufficient.
You know, I get why saying 'That's not who we are' is problematic with respect to racial discrimination and brutality. But the president openly looting the treasury? That's not who we are.
Trump on his multiple suits against the federal government: "I'm supposed to work out a settlement with myself ... We could make it a substantial amount, nobody would care, because it's gonna go to numerous, very good charities."

Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com

The reason I roll my eyes a bit at 'Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it' is that it doesn't work on evil people. Miller hasn't met a historical crime against humanity he doesn't admire.

California's main electricity grid (CAISO) has released greenhouse gas emission numbers for 2025. Emissions last year were ~46% lower than 2014, and ~8.5% lower than 2024. That's the 4th largest year-on-year reduction in the charts.
