Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

They're not doing this for any electoral reason they're doing it because on a deep level they believe what Israel is doing to Palestine is the future of governance during the collapse and they're signalling allegiance to those who would let them wear the boot in exchange for their quisling fealty
They don't /want/ to salvage it because it would mean allowing a Palestinian to speak in public. Malinauskus would rather destroy the largest arts festival in the country and the tens of millions it brings to the state than not continue his role in the genocide.

the vast majority of people who are upset are not upset that a book they like got a bad review.
they are upset that the review in question was a petty, vengeful, overly-personal and factually inaccurate punch-down at a transfem debut author that pitted her peers against her.
