life is short, let women drink your blood
i sure hope i'm not right but that's how it's looking to me right now
a large amount of liberals will treat the disposal of trump as a major victory and return to normal, especially with the media saying "at least the country's run by somebody who doesn't have dementia now!", and the descent into fascism will accelerate with less spectacle and further silence.
i think the people running the show believe they have reached a point where they have consolidated enough power that trump has outlived his usefulness and is only a hindrance to their further efforts. trump will be gone, the media will fall in line and say the vance admin should be given a chance.
there was probably 10x more people involved in the protests than would be necessary to [redacted] every government building and [redacted] all politicians in the streets
no kings seems to have no theory of change, just "if we get millions of people to call trump fat and gay the government will stop being mean"

"everyone is 12 now" theory remains undefeated
it's all fun and games until HabCorp discontinues the app used to control your life support because they determined it's not profitable enough

Oslo University Hospital caught using trans patients' journals for research purposes:
- Without the patients' consent to participate in research
- Affecting minors
- 1700 of them
- Taking highly sensitive information from said journals

This is a HUGE breach.

We really hit on something with the 12 year old theory of governance because that’s really the entire political project. It’s being 12 years old and not even normal 12 year olds but real pieces of shit 12 year olds
Breaking which laws? The ones they made up to criminalize protesting? lmao
What's your sister gonna do if the order comes down to shoot American civilians?
i think that's why they're banking on socially conservative/fascist governments gaining power throughout america and europe, hoping that they'll stick with oil and prop up their economy for a few more decades.
can't wait for the "dismember 50 asari journalists" quest in mass effect 4: the war for neom
"is it good that one of the largest game companies is owned by the country that dismembers journalists, funds fascism worldwide, and is in bed with the Trump administration?"

I have said many times, Sanderson is personally nice, but so what. Nice is cheap. He pumps money into a hate organization. That he can launder his own reputation effectively is the only think separating him from Rowling.
ah, so the real number of cops committing domestic violence is probably significantly higher

i DEEPLY hate the term. it's patronizing, it's a stupid euphemism, it plays into the transphobic notion that cis people are humoring us, it's epistemological oppression to avoid saying the word trans, 90% of the shit cis people do isn't called "gender affirming", etc

it's fucking trans healthcare.
high key i hate the term "gender affirming care"
they should be paying you $350 to stay in truro

*trans girl*: "so not only is a concept of gender as complex and diverse important, at a young age this can help develop theory of mind earlier and with increased empathy. The world would be a kinder place if we simply accepted that people are who they say they are."

*cis person*: "as a Hufflepuff
just the ones that agree with you, yeah?
you genuinely think that 92% of black women are total kamala harris loyalists? you think that everyone who held their nose and voted for harris had no critiques?
okay lemme go ask my wife brb

verdict: yep, kamala harris fucking sucked
It just so happens that Christianity's entire thing is having a very rigid structure of hierarchy and monopolistic ontology.
But yeah, overall I agree the problem is larger than Christianity, there have been oppressive elements and structures among all religions, but I do think the key is there in that the issue at the heart of this is in regards to specific power structures, not religion in the abstract, general sense.
...Christianity and Islam, not to mention the label of "Hinduism" in the first place largely being a Christian colonial construct to categorize a spectrum of related but varyingly disparate traditions.
tbh, while characterizing Hindutva as somehow Christian would be pretty wrong, I do think it would also be mistaken to remove Christianity entirely from a proper historical analysis of Hindutva; beyond the direct European inspiration, proselytization came into Hinduism as a result of...
