I agree that the travel expenses are "within the guidelines". So the system IS at fault. But surely a principled politician would stop and think: I'm on a salary of $403,064. Should I be charging the taxpayer to pay my family's travel expenses to a ski resort? Come on! #SenseOfEntitlement #auspol

Disasters like the BoM website update exemplify exactly why we need to build capacity in the public service and reduce our over reliance on consultants. A robust public service will always provide better value for money and better quality for the taxpayer dollar.

I am amazed how Australia, a land considered arid, and marginal agriculturally, is now suddenly a fertile heaven that can’t be touched by renewables. Feel free to bulldoze entire valleys and mountains for fossil fuels. That’s ok.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
