I read something by a teacher that her kid students don't believe her when she shows them artwork. They couldn't comprehend anymore that humans actually can create beautiful, complex things. This is the biggest horror of it all.

I agree that Bluesky has many issues, but I will say that if your personal feed sucks, there’s a very easy fix, and it’s following the right people, muting as needed, and having your blocking finger ready. Curating your experience is easier here than most places

No shit, all day I was looking at the paintings I made yesterday and couldn't wait until I could sit down and make some more. Idk when was the last time I felt so giddy to create something just bc it's so much fun. Kinda cool.
Got some actually good oil pastels yesterday and proceeded to paint with them the whole evening. I'm kinda shocked at how much fun I had. Didn't want to stop EVER.
Always thought I'm just too clumsy to use oil pastels. But turns out all I needed was oil pastels that are opaque and creamy.
