I just took a bubble bath and now I'm reading a book in bed with lavender shortbread cookies and a drink with elderberry shrub. I fucking love being an adult

It’s been six years since the first reported case of SARSCov2.

It’s never too late to wear a mask.

It’s never too late to clean the air.

Every infection avoided or delayed is a win for long term health.

We can drastically reduce transmission if everyone does their part.

I hope, my friend,
this week
you are fortunate enough
to have many things
for which you are thankful
but, my friend,
just be thankful
if you can get through
this week
without getting sick.

Should I learn how to play washtub bass and join the local jug band? Or is that too much of an old man hobby even for me 🤔

The fact that asymptomatic Covid cases can lead to Long Covid IMO probably leads to more people attributing illness to vaccine complications than what could actually occurring, when the underlying problem could be a Covid infection.

wearing a respirator today, this weekend, lowers the risk of bringing unwanted microscopic guests to your holiday celebrations, now less than a week away. your government has no interest in supporting you to preventing illness, nor in caring for you once you’re ill—take responsibility. mask up.
we are in an unprecedented untenable situation: wanton destruction of federal public health apparati (already reduced by biden), on top of a precarious, ever consolidating for-profit “care” system that’s been inching toward collapse for yrs as insurance rates soar—& you won’t help prevent illness? 🤨

I stopped trusting the CDC when they underplayed covid, when they no longer recommended masks to the general public, when they told people like me to stay home while everyone else could happily leave us behind. That opened the door to this. Most people just don’t want to admit it.

Car battery or alternator is about to combust. At least it let me know while I was running an errand and not driving 50 minutes to work before the auto shops even open ig

My aunt, the doctor,
told me a new joke.
She asked:

How can you tell
that we’re in
for a rough winter?

I said I did not know.

And in response
she sent me a graphic
from New York City’s
Department of Health
that recommended
wearing a mask.

And then neither of us laughed.
