I occasionally get to alternate with explaining supply chains and where ingredients actually come from (FYI, Vanilla is tropical/equatorial) and how national/foreign events have caused a disruption.

This reminded me of the time a half inch of snow* resulted in Mom being unable to make it to the courthouse and triggered a phone tree leading to the declaration of a State of Judicial Emergency**.
According to the weather I’ll either be driving to work in a slight snow tomorrow or I’ll be hooking up sled dogs in the morning.
